Staci Keanan began her career at age four with fashion-show assignments and magazine work. At age eight she moved to New York with her mother and sister and balanced a modeling career with a budding theater career, in addition to keeping a high scholastic record. She won several prestigious scholastic awards, including a City of New York essay contest and the National Language Arts Olympiad. As for her acting career, she branched from modeling into commercials, voice-overs and jingles, and then got roles in several mini-series and TV specials. her first starring role was in the series “My Two Dads” (1987). She received both the Youth In Film Award and Sixteen Magazine’s Top TV Newcomer Award for her work on the series. In 1989 Staci made it to the big screen in the feature film Lisa (1990), and then starred in the TV series “Step by Step” (1991).

Keanan was born Anastasia Sagorsky in Devon, Pennsylvania to Irv, a car salesman, and Jackie Sagorsky. Her parents separated when she was three, and at age five, she began modeling and appeared in commercials for Burger King and Hershey’s Kisses. As a young child, Keanan, along with her mother and sister, moved to New York City where Keanan changed her name to “Staci Love” and began appearing in summer stock. She made her television debut in the 1987 miniseries I Take Manhattan.[2]
At the age of 12, shortly after she moved with her family to Los Angeles, California, she was cast as Nicole Bradford in the TV series My Two Dads. The series ran from 1987 to 1990. In 1991 she co-starred in the short-lived series Going Places. That same year, Keanan was cast as Dana Foster in the TV series Step by Step from 1991 to 1998. After the series ended in 1998, Keanan had roles in the films Stolen Poem (2004) and Hidden Secrets (2006). In 2009, Keanan appeared in Holyman Undercover, starring David A.R. White.She also co-starred in the film “Sarah’s Choice”, according to the film’s official website .
